Our professional staff of certified athletic trainers
supply
all necessary medical equipment and supplies, including any
items
requested by the event staff prior to the event.
The
medical
professionals
contracted by SportMed-2-Go not only provide medical care
during the event, but may also
be used as a medical resource.
Being on the sidelines or close to the action, allows for the best
injury recognition,
evaluation, treatment, and
ultimately return to activity. All
event participants are
evaluated and treated as
athletes, not normal every day individuals
trying to compete
in such events, which in most
cases allows a faster return to activity.
Certified Athletic Trainers
All staff athletic
trainers hold at minimum a bachelor's degree,
are certified by
the National Athletic Trainers' Association, and are licensed in
the
state of the event.
As health care professionals, certified athletic trainers
specialize in
the prevention,
assessment, and rehabilitation of injuries and illnesses.
They
hold a vast knowledge
and experience of injuries and illnesses relating to athletics,
and are
qualified to
provide care
should an emergency situation occur. All staff
athletic trainers are
CPR,
AED, and First Aid certified by the American
Red Cross.
